About the Ashdown Golfers

Our club is often confused with Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club. The Ashdown Golfers is a club in its own right, having been registered with England Golf and Sussex County Golf shortly after its formation in 1985.

We are a warm and welcoming club with a regular calendar of competitions and social events. Members enjoy exclusive tee time allocations on four days each week on the West Course at Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club. Our competitions are open to both men and women, and membership numbers are carefully managed to ensure tee times remain readily available.

Looking for a Saturday morning tee time before 10am? As an Ashdown Golfer, that’s often possible.

Alongside our inclusive competition programme, we have an active and friendly Women’s Section which, like the Men’s Section, competes in county and national events.

The club is managed by a dedicated volunteer committee, elected annually at our AGM. Day-to-day administration is supported by the office team at Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club.

As proud affiliates of England Golf, all members benefit from a World Handicap System (WHS) Handicap Index and the third-party insurance that forms part of England Golf affiliation.
